What Actually Happens in a QHHT Session
· by Dodie Kendall
If you’re considering a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique session and trying to picture what one actually looks like, this is for you. I’ll walk you through how a session unfolds in practice. No mystery, no jargon, no pressure.
A session is a conversation in three parts
Most of what you read about QHHT online sounds either flat-clinical or floaty-mystical. The reality sits in between: it’s a structured, deeply respectful conversation that happens to take place at a level of consciousness most of us rarely visit.
The session unfolds in three parts:
- The pre-session conversation (about two hours). You arrive at my Stuart studio. We talk about your life, your questions, and what’s been calling for attention. This is not therapy; it’s not analysis. It’s the soft-edge introduction that lets the deeper part of the session work the way it’s supposed to.
- The session itself (about 3 hours). You recline somewhere comfortable. I guide you, slowly, into the Theta brainwave state: the threshold between waking and dreaming, where the conscious mind quiets and the Subconscious can speak clearly. From there, your Higher Self responds to the questions you brought. We record audio.
- The integration window (30 minutes, plus the days that follow). When we close the session, we sit and talk again briefly: what came up, how you feel, what to do with the recording. Most clients describe a contemplative week afterward as the insights settle.
What’s actually different in the Theta state
The Theta brainwave is something you already know how to enter. You visit it for a few seconds every night, between waking and sleep. In QHHT, we extend that threshold for hours. You’re not “asleep” and you’re not “out.” You’re awake, aware, and able to speak, but the noisy executive layer of the conscious mind is quiet enough that the Subconscious can answer your questions directly.
You stay in the driver’s seat the whole time. If you don’t like a question, you can refuse it. If you want to come up, you come up. The work isn’t done to you; it’s done through you.
Will you remember any of it?
Some of it. Most clients describe a dreamlike quality afterward: they remember the broad shape of what happened but lose the fine detail by the time we close. That’s why we record. The audio is yours, and most clients return to it many times over the months that follow. Insights arrive on a delay.
What kinds of questions does the Subconscious answer?
Whatever you bring. Common ones:
- “Why does this same pattern keep showing up in my relationships?”
- “Is there a reason I’ve had this chronic pain in my body?”
- “What is my purpose in this lifetime?”
- “What do I need to know about my work / my health / my family right now?”
There are no wrong questions. Before we meet, I’ll send you a prep guide to help you focus your list to the questions that matter most right now.
What QHHT is not
It’s worth being clear about this:
- It’s not therapy.
- It’s not medical care.
- It’s not regression hypnosis (past lives can come up, but they’re one part of a much larger conversation).
- It’s not channeling. Your Subconscious is your own.
- It’s not a performance. There’s no expectation that anything dramatic will happen.
QHHT is a complementary practice for self-discovery. It’s not a substitute for licensed care, and if you’re working through something significant, please continue working with your clinicians too.
What comes next
If you’ve read this far and something is calling, the next step is small: book a session, or send me a note with whatever question is on your mind. I read every note personally.
