How to Prepare for Your First Quantum Healing Session
· by Dodie Kendall
Preparation for a QHHT session is mostly internal, not logistical. There’s no special diet, no incense to burn, no mantra to memorize. But there are a few small things you can do in the days before that make a real difference in what your session can do.
A week before: live with your questions
This is the single most important thing.
QHHT is a conversation with the deepest part of you. The conversation works because you set the agenda. The questions you bring are the doorways through which the Subconscious will speak.
Three days before our pre-session call, I’ll send you a prep guide with a short prompt: write down every question you’d ask if you knew you had a long, uninterrupted conversation with the part of yourself that has all the answers. Don’t filter. Let it be messy. Then put the list down for a day. Come back. Edit. Cross some off. Add others.
By the time we talk, you’ll have a list of 5 to 10 questions that feel right. We’ll narrow them together to the three or four that matter most.
The night before: sleep
Real, full sleep. Aim for 8 hours if you can. The Theta brainwave state you’ll spend most of the session in is already a deeply rested state. Coming in tired risks dropping all the way to sleep instead of staying in the productive threshold.
If you’re a poor sleeper, that’s fine. We work with what you have. But if you can give yourself the gift of one good night’s sleep, this is the night.
The morning of: light food and water
Eat something nourishing but light: fruit, oatmeal, eggs, toast. Not heavy. A heavy meal slows the body and makes the Theta state harder to enter cleanly.
Hydrate. Drink water in the hour or two before. You’ll be lying still for hours; you don’t want to start thirsty.
Avoid:
- Caffeine the morning of (it interferes with the brain-wave shift).
- Alcohol the night before (same reason, longer half-life than you think).
- Heavy meals.
- Recreational substances.
What to wear
Comfortable clothes. Layers if you tend to run cold. Nothing tight at the waist or neck. Slip-on shoes you’ll kick off.
If you wear glasses, bring them but expect to take them off. Same for jewelry that might press against your neck or hands while you’re reclining.
What to bring
For an in-person session at the studio:
- Your written question list (or just your phone with the list on it).
- A water bottle.
- A light snack for after. Your blood sugar may want it.
- Anything that grounds you: a small stone, a photo, a journal. Optional.
The morning-of mental prep
If you have time before the session starts, this short ritual helps:
- Sit quietly for 5 minutes. Close your eyes. Breathe.
- Bring each of your top questions to mind, one at a time. Don’t try to answer them. Just hold each one for 30 seconds.
- Notice which one feels the heaviest, or the warmest, or the most alive. That’s the one your Higher Self has probably been waiting for.
You don’t have to do this. But many clients say it shifts the session from “I hope something happens” to “I’m ready to listen.”
What to expect immediately after
You’ll feel like you woke from a long, vivid nap. Some clients are energized. Some are quiet and want to drive home in silence. Both are fine.
Drink water. Eat. Don’t make any big decisions that day. Let the experience land.
The audio recording will be available shortly after. Most clients listen back over the weeks that follow. Insights show up on a delay.
One last thing
Trust your own pace. There’s no right way to enter this. If you arrive nervous, we’ll work with nervous. If you arrive eager, we’ll work with eager. The Subconscious doesn’t care about your prep score. It cares that you’re here, and that you’ve brought it questions worth answering.
Book a session when you’re ready. Send me a note if you want to talk through whether the timing is right.
